Bad (usually cheap generic drives) work well for storing files, but in my experience, lack the ability to be used as install media or “Live CD’s”.

9/12/2005 · Du koenntest auch als erstes mal mit einer Linux LiveCD booten um nachzusehen ob evtl nur die k.b00 oder die boot.cfg in der aktiven Bootbank defekt sind. Zumindestens koenntest du dir dabei die state.tgz us der aktiven Bootbank kopieren um deine Konfigurartion wieder einspielen zu koennen.

I am faced with the same issue the difference is the file that it is trying to load is sb.v00. I found the file in VMware-VMvisor-Installer-2 01512001-3 248547.x86 _64.iso (i suggest you get the file from the version of ESXi iso that you installed from) as it is the same size as the one on the partition where it will be replaced.
